Apple acaba de lanzar el iPhone 16GB en Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Francia y Alemania. El aumento de capacidad es una característica que muchos usuarios habían pedido y con el inminente lanzamiento del kit de desarrollo para iPhone, no podía llegar en mejor momento.
El iPhone 16GB no tiene 3G, ni viene con actualización de firmware debajo del brazo. En Cupertino han decidido que la memoria interna es la única novedad necesaria para impulsar las ventas. Mientras tanto, el resto de consumidores europeos espera con desesperación que se anuncie la llegada del móvil de Apple a sus respectivos países.
El iPhone 16 GB, que se puede comprar desde hoy mismo, tiene un precio en Estados Unidos de 499 dólares (339 euros). Los precios de las memoria flash están cayendo a marchas forzadas, pero Apple no pestañea al cobrar 100 dólares (100 libras esterlinas en el caso de Inglaterra) por 8 GB de memoria.
